I have demonstrated management and leadership abilities over a 30-year career in the communications media arena including freelance and contract production of broadcast and non-broadcast programming ranging from commercials to live international televised events. I am uniquely qualified to train individuals in advanced professional video and multimedia production technologies and methodologies. I have designed more than 100 teleproduction facilities including multi-camera studios, linear and non-linear editing suites, corporate meeting and boardrooms, remote radio and television vehicles, CCTV/CATV distribution systems and a theme park exhibit.  My distance learning experience includes having developed the prototype USAF learning center and managed the production of more than 120 instructional media programs.

I provide telephone and Internet technical support for servicers, dealers, and owners of Hitachi's Multimedia products including MPEGCams, LCD Projectors, Handheld Personal Computers, Video Printers, and Video Walls.  I also design training materials, conduct training seminars and sessions, and coordinate with National Service Management, National Service Lab, Product Managers and Engineers.  I author and administer the award-winning 2.5Gb web site located at http://www.hitachiserviceusa.com.

I provided production services to local and network broadcast, cable, corporate and video production companies, designed state-of-the-art audiovisual, media, videoconferencing and video production facilities, and consulted for LAN, CCTV, Multimedia, distance learning and teleproduction facility design.   I designed and constructed a computerized presidential teleprompting system including prototype circuitry, programming and mechanical design.

November 1972 to June 1998

I managed a staff of 10; held in-service seminars, applied Instructional Systems Technology approach to ITV programs, designed studio and field production systems.  I produced 90 instructional programs all on schedule and within budget, researched and wrote draft for grant that created 35 instructional programs that became interactive videodisks distributed nationally for the deaf, designed a half-hour newscast for the deaf community, which led to 1,000 letters of support and the initiation of teaching sign language in the public schools.   I also designed curriculum and taught television and multimedia technology and production courses.

United States Air Force, Moody AFB

Operations and Production Manager; Education and Training Officer
October 1970 to August 1972

Co-created the prototype Undergraduate Pilot Training Learning Center and contributed to a major change in the methodology of training USAF pilots.  Using audiovisual training productions, replaced in-flight training hours without decreasing the quality of the best pilot training system in the world. Dramatically decreased costs and increased efficiency and morale. Reduced training time by 66%.
